Oak Meadows is an independent and assisted living senior living community located in Oakdale, Minnesota.  This video offers you an inside glimpse into what the residents say.  It covers 3 residents and runs almost 3 minutes.

This is an amateur video – hand-held, no microphone, no lights, etc.  But this is a very good concept.  It would have been more powerful if it was done by a professional or semi-professional with a tripod, microphone, and a couple extra lights…and editing in some background music.  But this kind of video is inexpensive to produce and not time consuming.  There were each asked the same set of questions and the video was edited together.

Anyone looking at homes will get an inside glimpse of Oak Meadows by seeing this video.  Actually, a second video that would help would be a facilities tour and overview of activities (if there are any).  Imagine looking for a place and being able to hear from residents what they like about it and seeing the inside…from your computer screen.  This is powerful stuff.
