Looking into the World of Online Videos for Marketing & Recruiting…and other stuff.
Medical equipment demonstration video for M9 Ultraclave Automatic Sterilizer. The video explains key features (as it is a sales video, it should have covered more benefits). Although I applaud the use of video for sales efforts like this, the video quality is very poor and appears to be out of focus.
This is a 57 second video of a testimonial from a single customer by a Twin Cities auto repair shop. It is a very good idea to have testimonials…and video testimonials are even more powerful. But this is what not to do.
The only thing going for this video is that it is short – 37 seconds. This video just doesn’t tell me who they are and what makes them great. It is what I call a commercial type of recruiting video. A good voice over stating things any company could state.
This center in Roseville, MN has implemented video into their website…featuring success stories and testimonials. Under success stories, they have this long 8 minute and 39 second video. I applaud the use of video testimonials, but there are some serious errors in this video.
This is what NOT to do! His assistant on a webcam doing a commercial!
It was nothing but a 25 second commercial…I did not learn a thing about the company – just heard the claim of Tax CPA to call when having IRS problems. I didn’t get to see Joe or hear him speak – so he could be a complete duffus. Do I want to call him when I am in trouble? Not really.
A blog written by a Minnesota Recruiter and Video Producer about marketing, social media, online video production, recruiting, and some about what I'm doing in life. Professionally, I am very interested in online videos for businesses marketing their products & services, and videos for recruiting for their open positions.
