Fastenal Virtual Tour

In: Marketing Videos Critique

29 Jun 2009

This 9 minute and 12 second video is good, but way too long.  I would have recommended splitting up the video into 5 videos (for each of the major areas).  Then viewers could self guide themselves through the tour and skip portions they don’t care about.  As there is no outline or overview…you don’t know what is coming up.  Some will just stop when they are bored (internet average is 3 minutes)…and never see the information that may be what they needed to see.  Long videos like this are a bad idea for use on the internet.

It was a clean and informative video, so overall I liked it very much.  They cleverly worked in some pieces from clients…so also has value of testimonials in it.  Case studies where Fastenal was there to save the day.  Excellent!
