Looking into the World of Online Videos for Marketing & Recruiting…and other stuff.
This 1 minute 18 second video was for an attachment in Yellow Pages online. This would also work well in Google Local Business…as it is on YouTube, it is easily attached. This is a basic “about us” type of video.
Laura Bonicelli explains how the idea behind Solo by Bonicelli came about. This 2 minute video explains how the business came about…the story about its origins. This is the first of this kind of video I have seen, but I love it. It seems to come about through questions she was sent. It is short, engaging, and personal. I never knew about this company before, but after the video I am excited to know about the company (not that I will buy, as between my fiance and I…we are good cooks and eat very well)…but I would refer someone to them.
This 58 second recruiting video starts off strong…the position and location, but more importantly – that you will design and develop mobile phones that your friends, family, and people on the street will be using. How cool does that sound! Then they pointlessly go into responsibilities and qualifications. The odds are this video will be seen near the job description where the responsibilities and qualifications will be listed. This video could stand alone to get someone to apply…but how often will the video alone be seen? I think rarely.
Here is the the latest finished video from Peek Productions. The Emergency Foodshelf Network is a foodbank in Minnesota – receiving and shipping food to member foodshelves. I am very proud of this video…and I am too close to it to critique it right now (just got the final approval 10 minutes ago). What do you think about it?
A blog written by a Minnesota Recruiter and Video Producer about marketing, social media, online video production, recruiting, and some about what I'm doing in life. Professionally, I am very interested in online videos for businesses marketing their products & services, and videos for recruiting for their open positions.
