This 1 minute 45 second video for Practice Martial Arts & Marin Karate Kids lets you take a look inside the school. You see a bunch of happy, smiling kids and teenagers. You meet the owners of the school…and a bit about their philosophy/outlook. You hear from one mother…a quick testimonial. This is a great video to market their business.

This isn’t a bad video, just very unfocused. I do like that I get to see the grounds, but wedding (not birthday or corporate) would come to mind for this location. This business does have a leg up on any competitor without a video. But as video becomes more common place, focused messages will be more important than just having a video.

This is a 3 minute and 10 second video and meeting (I think) 5 people. This is a good recruiting video. You hear from the operators, as well as management. You see them at work. You hear about its flexibility, growth, and training. They are personable and personal…they invite you (the viewer) to join their team. This video engages the viewer.

This 1 minute 30 second video is a commercial…and instantly feels like one from the start of the video. I suspect a lot of people stopped watching in the first 25 seconds. People on the internet and watching videos online are not there to watch your commercials…they are looking for something for themselves (what is in it for the viewer). This video is on the home page of their website…but it would fit better on TV. People expect commercials on TV (and they don’t watch them there either).

This quick 1 minute and 15 second video lets you see the view (which they are known for) and you meet Danny (the owner). He says the view is an extra…they really make great food. You learn there are a couple areas to eat at…and that the menu changes 4 times a year.
