This video is a little over a minute long. You hear from the hiring manager and boss for this position…also in the video you see such a territory sales person at work. The hiring manager explains what the position entails…and that they have a great atmosphere and training program.

This is a 23 second testimonial video for a 24-hour locksmith. There was a constant camera shake, the lighting was poor, and the sound was bad (they used the built-in microphone on the video camera). Technical issues aside…this is what you call a “cheerleader” testimonial video. Not much was said other than “they are great!” Even the “you can reach them anytime” was not very informative…I think you could reach most 24-hour locksmiths anytime.

This is a quick, 1 minute 16 second video by an ‘out of bounds’ skiing athlete. She not only tells little stories about being packed like sardines in lifts, but also she says what the major benefits and features of this backpack are. There is a product demo element as you see her getting into her backpack and how it carries her skis as she hikes up areas.

This 2 minute 12 second video lets you meet the chef and owner…and hear a bit of his story. You hear about his dishes and his philosophy. I would say it is successful…the video has been viewed on YouTube over 56,000 times and has been rated 28 times with almost a 5-star rating. I’m sure this video has spread awareness of the restaurant…and like brought in new customers.

This is a minute and a half video about a fence company. We see their facilities and trucks, we find out they do commercial and residential fencing…but what is all this stuff about types of fencing? They lost me…”dog ear”, “gothic point”, “cap and trim”? This “technical” jargon is likely beyond people looking for fences for their residence. It is important to keep the intended audience in mind…and not throw them with too many details. Is this really necessary to know about?
