Looking into the World of Online Videos for Marketing & Recruiting…and other stuff.
This is self-made video by a chiropractic and massage clinic in Eden Prairie. It is 46 seconds in duration. I like that the video is short, but the sound is awful. I know I have said this many times…always, always, always use an external microphone…never the built in microphone. Also the camera shake is annoying…always use a tripod.
This is the newest addition to Peek Productions recent work. We filmed one past client for the testimonial. We interviewed her at Vibrant Potential’s office. Then we cut the overall footage down by 1/3 to the current video…which shows the best of the interview while having the flow of a story. The finished video was 2 minutes and 49 seconds.
This is another video for Angel Rivera…this time a testimonial video. It is 1 minute and 12 seconds long. This video is more professional in quality. The sound is better…it is a black background, but an odd camera angle (looking down). You find out from one of his customers that he is gentle and very good at what he does. Of course, we tend to accept and trust feedback given by people (even if we don’t know the person). There is one comment on this video and it says, “angel must be a great therapist and a great person.” He must be…because you said so and took the time to be on video.
Amazing Green is a carpet cleaning service in St. Paul. Their website has one testimonial video (http://www.tryamazinggreen.com/customer-feedback.html) and the below is the video as well.
This is a 1 minute and 30 second video of a hair salon with a store for home decor as well. Yes see the store front, that there is a dog present, and that it is a kind of funky/cool place. You meet the owner, Samuel Rey. There is even one client giving a testimonial…great touch! Again, you get a little feeling for the personality of Samuel…so you get to know, like, and trust him (I’ve been harping on this a lot lately…I know).
A blog written by a Minnesota Recruiter and Video Producer about marketing, social media, online video production, recruiting, and some about what I'm doing in life. Professionally, I am very interested in online videos for businesses marketing their products & services, and videos for recruiting for their open positions.
