This three and a half minute video shows you many employees and lets you hear straight from the horses mouth why they like working at Progressive. You get a great feel for the culture and the emphasis on career pathing & development. You hear about things that make them different – like the annual employee art show.

“Come explore your progressive side.” Good tagline to finish the video and they listed a web address. There is a lot of power in letting your employees do the talking. This video feels very authentic and genuine. It did not feel scripted at all…just people telling their stories. Great video!

This short, 1 minute long video focuses on social responsibility. However, having Reba McEntire be the image and voice of the video made it seem very much like a commercial. It felt too much like I was being sold too…which instantly seems fake and not as trustworthy.

It feels like they could post this on TV to increase brand awareness to increase the sales of their appliances.

For a recruiting video, I would have added a little more detail about how employees helped and removed Reba for an actual Whirlpool employee. What do you think?

My only real complaint is that this video is too long – 6 minutes and 26 seconds. This is a good recruiting video.

Showing people at work, as well as in their daily lives. Interviewing several to hear about Cisco and what makes Cisco great. Showing the impact Cisco has technology-wise and social responsibility-wise. This video engages viewers…invites them into the company and people’s lives. You can almost see yourself working there…watching the film.

This video was pricey to create and took a good amount of time. Lots of effects, blue/green screen backgrounds, filming at locations of employees at play, etc. Just as good a video could be made without all the locations, effects, etc. – so although the video is good…you don’t need to sell your internal organs to pay for it.

The focus of this video is international opportunity in a social responsible company. This video is for recruiting "young people".

The focus of this video is international opportunity in a social responsible company. This video is for recruiting “young people”. The newest generation to join the workforce tends to look for social responsibility in companies, so this is a good move by Citi for recruiting entry-level now.

You find out that you will be asked repeatedly about your volunteerism during the interviews. So if you are not doing much and don’t want to, then you won’t bother to apply. This is good…it will strengthen the culture of volunteering employees.

My only complaint is that it is a little too long at 4 and a half minutes in duration. Statistics show the most watched videos on the internet are 3 minutes or less…and those videos also have the highest chance of being watched all the way to the end. I think there could have been a little more editing done to shave 45 seconds off…and still keep the message and story intact.
